Lory Construction are extremely proud to announce an ongoing partnership with Make-A-Wish® Australia. Make-A-Wish® Australia creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. They work in partnership with sick kids, their families and medical teams to deliver unforgettable wish experiences – like making unicorns fly, sending kids to the moon and even helping Australia’s youngest cricket captain don the baggy green. Make-A-Wish® Australia believe wishes complement a child’s medical treatment, with the power to calm, distract and inspire at the time they need it most. Their vision is to grant the wish of every eligible child. With a small head office team of around 50 permanent and part-time staff and more than 700 kids currently on a wish journey, every dollar goes to where it’s needed; helping create more wishes for children like Bailey.
Today, Make-A-Wish has more than 700 kids on a Wish Journey – with every donation, gift and bequest, they are one step closer to making the wish of every eligible Australian child come true. With more than 1000 volunteers around the country, Make-A-Wish® has a presence in almost 60 local communities through a volunteer branch network which operates in every state and territory. Collectively, the #WishForce includes the many hundreds and thousands of Australian volunteers, partners, donors and supporters who come together to make wishes happen. Since 1985, the incredible #WishForce has brought more than 10,000 wishes to life for sick kids all over Australia. Each child’s wish is carefully planned and delivered to create a positive, lasting impact, just like Scarlett’s fairytale brought to life.
