Volante Rosso Committed to the Cause

Australian Motorsport for 2018 has been raced and won and provided countless entertainment across all major categories for fans enjoyment. For Volante Rosso it was a season of great progression and valuable foundations for what is going to be a big name in Australian Motorsport in the future.

The team was built on the hard work of world-renowned motorsport engineer Chris Papadopoulos and Australia racing driver Josh Hunt. The 2018 season was the first time the Volante Rosso Motorsport was seen on track as they entered the highly competitive Porsche Wilsons Security Carrera Cup Australia, contesting position on track with the highly experienced front running teams, some with in excess of 15 years in the category. VRM made a solid entry into the series running as high as 4th in some races of the season, however team driver Josh Hunt found his natural home inside the top ten consistently throughout the season.

As a new team there are so many processes that need to be set up early in the season to ensure consistency and synergy within the garage to give the drivers the most confidence out on track. This was achieved in our 2018 season as we trialled different team members, setups, sponsorship campaigns and drivers.” Chris Papadopoulos.

VRM showed their commitment to trialling new ways of running a team by rarely running the same livery throughout the season. They presented a total of 4 different liveries and a series of different sponsors on the car, leaving fans wondering what was going to roll out of the garage next.

I am over the moon with our sponsors in 2018. They all got involved in the season and their enthusiasm helped us to look into new ways of creating value for all of our partners. Lory Construction were with us for the entire season and their commitment to leveraging things on their end was amazing and they have reaped the benefits from the partnership in attracting new clients, which is the ultimate goal of any marketing campaign.” Josh Hunt.

The team is already hard at work on their 2019 season with the hope of expanding the team into more cars in both the Pro and Pro-Am categories.
